DAVID P. DITTMAR, Founding Partner, 1946-2009. David was an experienced civil trial lawyer in both Florida state and Federal Courts, practicing since 1975. He was admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Firth and Eleventh Circuits. David tried hundreds of cases to juries, among them wrongful death cases, medical malpractice cases, serious personal injury claims, product liability, vehicular liability, contract disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and fraud claims. He also tried numerous cases in the context of insurance receiverships.
David was born in upstate New York. He graduated with Honors from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton in 1972, and went on to receive his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1974. He was a managing partner for the firm Walters, Costanzo, Miller, Russel & Dittmar and has been a partner in Gitlitz, Keegan & Dittmar, P.A. as well as Dittmar & Hauser, P.A., which through merger has become Restani, Dittmar & Hauser, P.A.
Although David passed away in September of 2009, he remains in our hearts and memories.
