Peter R. Restani, Partner

Peter is Board Certified in civil trial law by the Florida Bar, and he has also been awarded Board Certification in civil trial by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated lawyer.

He has been a civil trial lawyer since 1986, and has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts. He has tried over 100 jury trials including, medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death, to insurance law. In the past 10 years, he has completed approximately 30 jury trials to verdict involving serious injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice, with a winning record. He is a member of the Florida Bar, United States District Court for the Southern District, United States District Court Trial Bar, and various bar associations. He also served three years as a member and chair of a Florida Bar grievance committee.

While in law school, Peter began his focus on trial work as an intern with the United States Attorney, Organized Crime Strike Force. After graduation, he accepted a position from former Miami-Dade State Attorney, Janet Reno, as a State Prosecutor in Miami. There, he served the community for four years as a trial lawyer prosecuting all types of criminal offenses from misdemeanors to capital felonies. He completed his service as a member of an elite trial unit organized to prosecute the most serious sexual battery crimes.

Peter is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Boston College in 1979, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1982.
